Ahmad's Story-
From Dropping Out to Medical School
Ahmad is the eldest of six children in a refugee camp in the West Bank. His father passed away when he was 14, and since then, Ahmad had been working part-time to help support the family. He was about to drop out of university due to unpaid tuition when Al-Takafol stepped in.
Through our Student Sponsorship Program, we covered his university fees and provided him with monthly transportation and book expenses. Ahmad is now in his fourth year of medical school and dreams of becoming a pediatrician.

Amal is a 16-year-old girl from a remote village near Nablus in the West Bank. Her father is unemployed due to chronic illness, and her mother works as a seamstress to support five children. Amal walked over an hour every day to get to school, often without breakfast.

Lina's Story-
A Fresh Start for a Resilient Mother
Location: West Bank | Supported from: Illinois, USA
Lina is a single mother of two young boys living in a small rented apartment in the West Bank. After her divorce, she was left without financial support and struggled to keep up with rent and daily expenses. When her landlord threatened eviction, she reached out to a local contact who connected her with Al-Takafol.
Our team in Illinois quickly responded, covering two months’ rent to prevent Lina and her children from becoming homeless. But we didn’t stop there — with the help of community networks, we found her a job at a local sweets shop where she now works part-time and earns a steady income.
Sarah's Story-
A New Chapter for a Single Mom in Illinois
Location: Illinois, USA | Direct Local Support
Sarah is a recently divorced mother of two boys living in a low-income neighborhood in Illinois. After the separation, she struggled to pay rent while caring for her children, and fell two months behind on her housing payments. Facing the threat of eviction, Sarah was overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted.
Through a referral from a local community member, Al-Takafol stepped in. We immediately covered two months of overdue rent to secure her housing and give her time to breathe. But more importantly, we helped her find a part-time job at a local bakery. Today, Sarah is working, her boys are back in school, and the family is stable again.
